The Mental Health Foundation is holding its
4th Annual
Paws for a Cause
at the Empire State Plaza
April 9 and 10, 2010
The Mental Health Foundation, in partnership with Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society and The Animal Protective Foundation, is pleased to present, once again, the largest event about pets and for pets and their owners in the greater Capital Region of upstate New York.
As partners, we are planning to present a number of informative and educational seminars, all free to the public, to be held in conjunction with the exhibits on the Concourse.
Last year’s Paws for a Cause at the Plaza enabled the Foundation to provide grant support to the Albany-based ClearView Center to kick off its It’s Okay To Talk About It grant program. The program is aimed at providing college-age students with resources and supports to be able to manage mental health issues together with their family and friends. For more information on The ClearView Center’s InSights program, click here.
We are encouraging attendees to bring an item of new, unopened, canned or dry pet food to the event. At the conclusion of the event we will divide the food up and distribute it to the rescue groups who are participating Paws for a Cause at the Plaza.
Don’t miss this fun and educational event!

** Due to liability concerns, only animals allowed at the indoor event will be service dogs and those pets pre-approved to appear in educational and entertainment demonstrations. Unfortunately, we will not be allowed to make any exceptions.
